This Privacy Policy describes how CodexCoach (“we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, and protects information when you use our website at https://codexcoach.com and when we connect to your Instagram account through the Instagram AI plugin.

We use Instagram Business Login only to publish and sync content on your behalf after you authorize the connection. We do not sell your personal information.

Information we collect

  • Website usage data collected by WordPress and your hosting provider (such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited).
  • Account information you provide in WordPress (administrator email and site configuration).
  • Instagram account data after you connect, including Instagram user ID, username, and access tokens required for publishing and feed sync.
  • Content you create or approve for Instagram, including captions, hashtags, images, and scheduled posts.
  • AI generation inputs such as topics, post titles, or WordPress post content used to generate captions and images.

How we use your information

  • To connect your Instagram Business or Creator account using Meta’s Instagram Business Login.
  • To publish images and captions to Instagram when you or a site administrator requests it.
  • To sync your Instagram media and display it on this website.
  • To generate captions and images using configured AI providers when that feature is enabled.
  • To maintain security, troubleshoot errors, and improve plugin functionality.

Instagram and Meta

When you click Connect Instagram, you are redirected to Meta/Instagram to authorize our app. Meta may process your data according to its own policies. We receive only the permissions you approve, such as basic profile information and content publishing access.

AI service providers

If AI features are enabled, text or image prompts may be sent to third-party AI providers configured by the site administrator (for example OpenAI, Google Gemini, or DeepSeek) solely to generate content for Instagram posts. Those providers process data under their own terms and privacy policies.

Data sharing

We share information only with:

  • Meta/Instagram, to authenticate and publish on your connected account.
  • AI providers selected in plugin settings, when generating captions or images.
  • Hosting and infrastructure providers that operate this website.
  • Authorities when required by applicable law.

Data retention

Instagram access tokens and connection details are stored in the WordPress database until you disconnect Instagram or delete the data. Generated posts, media, and queue records are kept until removed by a site administrator. You may request deletion of your connection by contacting us using the details below.

Security

We use industry-standard measures available through WordPress and secure hosting, including access controls for administrators and encrypted connections (HTTPS). No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Your choices and rights

  • You can disconnect Instagram at any time from the WordPress admin Instagram AI settings page.
  • You may revoke app access from your Instagram or Meta account settings.
  • Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you.

Children’s privacy

Our services are not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will reflect the latest version. Continued use of the website or Instagram connection after changes means you accept the updated policy.
